    When I go to see who is online at astronomy connect a large percentage are robots.

    Who are these robots?

    The bots are search bots that highlight keywords/ phrases and such for web searches.
    All of the different browsers and some manufacturers use them.
    There are hundreds of them.
    Some sites show a number for them, others either do not show them and some list the names of the bot.
