It appear Teleskop Service has a 'new' version of their Plossl with a slightly higher price of 35.00 Euro. These TS Plossl have a much nicer finish, the TS logo on them, and new barrel with a recessed groove. Unfortuantely I did not have a chance to try these and can not comment on their performance.

The Teleskop Service 15mm Plössl has a sharp and crisp AFOV on-axis of about 30°. While the total AFOV for the eyepiece is approximately 40°, the outer 15-20% of the edge of the FOV suffers from Sherical Aberration. Contrast and detail are good on-axis as you would expected from a Plössl and eye relief is comfortable. Besides the Spherical aberration there is the very slightest amount of 'Pin Cushion' distortion at the very edge of the FOV. The sherical aberration is typical of the standard Plössl design but not the 'Pin Cushion' distortion at the edge. It is a good inexpensive Plössl eyepiece, if you live in Europe. If you live elsewhere, look for a standard Meade or Celestron Plössl. While the Teleskop Service Plössl is a decent, solidly built eyepiece it's nothing special. It is certainly OK if easily obtainable without expensive shipping or import fees. Like the Meade & Celestron Plössl, it's a good basic Plössl for the price but the barely noticeably 'Pin Cushion' distortion may bother a few individuals.

(I'm marking this as "Not Recommended" only for those where other comparible Plössl eyepiece are more readily available.)
