Excellent standard plossl
Pros:Sharp as a tack on axis; sharp to the edge
Cons:None except those inherent in the plossl design (limited eye relief and 50 degree afov)
Comments:This is very similar to the GSO 9mm plossl. It is a fine eyepiece with the good and bad points common to plossls. The view is clear to the edge of its 50 degree field of view. The center is tack sharp. There are no major flares or internal reflections. The eyepiece barlows well.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
I find myself using it on planets even though it is a little low powered in my 480mm focal length scope. On nights when the seeing is less than perfect, I love to use it on the moon. The eye relief is fine for me without my classes on and the exit pupil is small enough that my astigmatism isn't a problem.Sort by
