Manufacturer Description
Spend less time centering your target and more time stargazing with Celestron's new premium finderscope: StarPointer Pro. Traditional red dot finderscopes were originally created for shooting sports such as airsoftairsoft guns and shooting sports. StarPointer Pro was designed for astronomers by astronomers to provide the easiest experience locating celestial objects in the night sky. Whether you’re new to the hobby or a seasoned amateur astronomer, you’ll appreciate StarPointer Pro’s thoughtful design features.
While a red dot can obstruct your desired target, StarPointer Pro projects two circular LED reticles. Just place your target inside the circles and it’s ready to view in the eyepiece. The circles also serve as a measuring tool while starhopping. For added convenience, StarPointer Pro offers a 40mm optical window with a large field of view.
StarPointer Pro attaches quickly to most telescopes and secures with a dovetail connection and finger knobs. No screwdriver needed! Get more out of every stargazing session with StarPointer Pro.

Great service!
Pros: Cons: Comments:Agenda customer service top notch! First product I received had a reticle display defect. Scott and company did not hesitate to contact Celestron and get a new one out to me ASAP. New finder works perfectly!

May 31, 2019Nice pointer
Pros: Cons: Comments:Since there is no red dot in the middle of the finder's field of view, it is very convenient to use when star hopping to faint objects.

Nov 20, 2018Plastic Finder
Pros: Cons: Comments:The mount and hardware are all plastic. I could never get the clips to hold, so. I returned it. The Agena Reflex Finder was much better, solid metal construction.

May 27, 2018Celestron Star Pointer Pro Unity Finder
Pros: Cons: Comments:I've been a Telrad user on my Dobs using the calibrated reticle circles to star hop to targets. For smaller OTA's like refractors and SCT's/MCT's under 6", the Telrad looks a little out of place due to its size. Here is where the Celestron Star Pointer Pro Unity shines. It's lightweight and small size are perfect for smaller scopes. The reticle has two circles that do not cover the target. While not calibrated, the circles work great for alignment stars for goto mounts or for quickly pointing a non-goto mount. It comes with four bases for mounting options.

Nov 20, 2017Found the right finder
Pros: Cons: Comments:If you have a small refractor you know that some of the illuminated reticle finders are just too large to mount on the telescope. And the tiny 5X30 straight thru finders are not so great either. And the small reticles that come standard with many scopes are just - well - too small.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Now the Celestron Star Pointer Pro enters....the perfect size for my 80ED scope and since it comes with multiple mounting brackets - I'm now using it on my 8" SCT.
These are really great - good job Celestron!!!This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Oct 21, 2017Celestron Star Pointer Pro
Pros: Cons: Comments:I really like the larger aperture and target circles for centering the object, but the illuminated led rings are too bright even at the lowest setting. It works OK, but it would be so much better if the led could be dimmed more. Overall I'm happy with it.

Apr 21, 2017Star Pointer Pro
Pros: Cons: Comments:This is a great product. I have used many red dot finders over the years, including the acclaimed Telrad, and can tell you that this is one is of the very best. It has a very large opening which makes it easy to star hop like the Telrad, but its base is not nearly as intrusive. The adjustment nobs are easy to find in the dark, and unlike many cheaper red dots, they adjust the reticle quickly and with ease. I used this on my smaller 72mm refractor and while it sits a bit large, it makes navigating the night sky a real joy. I also love that in includes a variety of mounts and bases [many do not come with a base at all]. So a great product all in all, you wont be disappointed.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
I also want to praise Agena for this product as well. I saw it on another website for a cheaper price and I emailed them to see if they would price match. They called me within an hour! They adjusted the price for not only me, but for all their customers. That's amazing customer service. They have won my business for years to come for that small act. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Apr 16, 2017Excellent Reticle Finder
Pros: Cons: Comments:I wanted a 1x finder, but the "red dot" style often obscured/overwhelmed my target, especially on faint objects. This finder presents a reticle that doesn't obscure or overwhelm. The brightness control is excellent. The selection of mounting mechanisms was just what I needed. The alignment controls are easy to set. This is an excellent reticle finder!

Jan 9, 2017surprisingly well designed
Pros: Cons: Comments:haven't had a chance to actually use this yet because of the weather but I was pleasantly surprised on opening the package and finding the multiple mounting options including a nice riser to get the optic up higher AND tool-less adjustments. being able to align it in the dark without tools is something other manufactures need to incorporate. yeah, it's plastic and kinda hokey-looking but it's a great, low-cost improvement over the 6x30 straight-through on my sister's C90. functional and well designed!

Oct 1, 2016Big upgrade from the stock finder on a 6SE
Pros:Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:I bought this to replace the inexpensive red dot finder that came with a Nexstar 6SE, which was difficult to align (the bracket needed shimming to bring it into range) and inconvenient to use (narrow view, dot too bright at lowest setting). Alignment stars were often outside the view of the reticle eyepiece. The Star Pointer Pro could be aligned without any modification, and its wide field of view and Telrad-like concentric circles made it much easier to use. With it, the alignment stars are now often nearly centered in the reticle eyepiece, and I believe that if I were in a hurry, adequate alignment for an outreach event could be achieved just using this finder. It's a bit larger than some of the commonly sold zero power finders. The window is about 1.5 inches or 40mm in diameter and it is about 6 inches long. But with the bracket, it sticks out about 3.5 inches from side of the OTA. The only issue I've encountered is that its brightness control has two click positions at the off end of rotation, and a couple of times I've turned it to the first click, thinking it was off, but that leaves it on and drains the battery. The position of the battery cover makes it challenging to replace the battery without removing the finder from the bracket.

Feb 4, 2016Celestron Star Pointer Pro is great.
Pros:Red Dot Finder,Accurate,Easy to Use,This Device Is Much,Quality Lenses,Better Than The Normal,Compact,Lightweight
Cons:Would Like It To Be Made
Comments:This device will align on a star very easy and because it uses a small circle, it is much easer to use. A red dot will cover up a star but this device will let you see it.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? YesThis review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
